One of Dr. Aranda’s must reads, Belonging explores the deep human longing for connection and self-acceptance. Turner emphasizes that belonging is not a place to find, but a skill to cultivate involving self acceptance, embracing our uniqueness, and reconnecting with our inner wisdom. We must first deconstruct ourselves, to uncover who we truly are.

Living true to your values is one of the highest determinants of fulfillment in life. Do you know what your top values are? This exercise allows you to sort through a set of values cards to determine which values are most important to you. By knowing your values, you can then shape your life so that you are living by them daily. Click on the link to identify your top values and then write them down so you can look at them routinely. Be sure to discuss the results with your therapist!

The Enneagram is a popular personality assessment that categorizes people into nine distinct personality types, with each having unique strengths, challenges, and motivations. Knowing your type helps you: 1) understand the underlying desires and fears that drive your behavior 2) recognize habitual emotional reactions and how they shape your decisions 3) identify areas for personal development and 4) gain insights in how to interact with others. Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve 🦉
The preserve features nine tranquil ponds and five miles of trails, including both paved and soft surfaces. The paved path, about ¾ mile long, is wheelchair accessible, while the soft trails are mostly level for easy walking and great for nature-watching. Open from 7am to 2pm, and closed on Fridays. Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area 🦎
Explore over 48,000 acres of preserved land featuring ancient petroglyphs and serene hiking trails, offering a peaceful retreat into nature. Practice tuning into your senses and focusing on what you see, smell, hear, and touch.
